Privacy Policy
Astria Advokater is, as data controller, obliged to protect the personal data we process on your behalf. The processing of your personal data takes place in accordance with applicable legislation. Any questions regarding our processing of personal data can be directed to the lawyer(s) working on your case.
Purpose of the processing of personal data:
Creation of client or party to case
1. Communication with client or party to case
2. Obtaining money laundering documentation
3. Execution of legal assistance
Personal data includes for example: Name – address – telephone no. - email – civil reg. no.
– passport/driving licence - health insurance card
Sensitive personal data are, for example: Trade union membership - ethnic origin - health information
Personal data is first and foremost obtained directly from you, but can also be obtained from publicly available registers, social media, authorities, hospitals, your own doctor, counterparty or other parties to the case.
The processing of personal data requires permission – hence, for example:
1. We have obtained your consent to the processing of personal data.
2. Processing is necessary to fulfil the requirements/obligations laid down by law.
3. Processing is necessary to establish and invoke a legal claim.
If your personal data is processed based on your consent, you can withdraw it by contacting attorney Birte Veggerby (bv@astria.dk) or attorney Iben Lindhardt (il@astria.dk).
All Astria employees are bound by professional secrecy in accordance with the Danish Administration of Justice Act and the ethical rules for solicitors and lawyers. Therefore, we will only share information about you if you have consented to this or if we are required to do so by law. We may share your information with the following:
1. Counterparties and other parties to your case.
2. Public authorities (e.g., tax authorities or Courts)
We store your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the information received.
Your case and related records in our master file will be deleted 10 years after the time of completion of the case (archiving).
Documentation such as driver's license, passport and health insurance card is deleted 5 years after transaction / furnishing.
Automated applications are not used for the processing of personal data.
If we process your personal data, you have the right to the following:
1. You have the right to be informed of what personal data we process about you.
2. You have the right to have inaccurate information corrected.
3. You have the right to have your personal data deleted if it is no longer necessary to fulfil the purpose.
4. You have the right to have the processing of your data limited as much as possible and you may object to processing.
The scope of your rights will depend on specific assessment. If you are dissatisfied with our processing, a complaint can be submitted to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Borgergade 28, 5th floor, DK 1300 Copenhagen K, tel. +45 33193299, email dt@datatilsynet.dk.
